So, I haven’t really made up my mind about grad schools yet, but I have a feeling I’m going to end up at UNC Chapel Hill like I had a feeling I was going to end up at William and Mary. Not a very strong feeling, but I admit it is there.
It has everything going for it. Number two in public health, number one in nutrition, beautiful location that is only a three hour drive from home and is somewhere I would like to live, research that aligns perfectly with my interests, and world-class professors that get me excited just hearing their names. I would graduate with both a masters of public health and an RD certificate, and it’s less expensive than my other options.
Outside the public health field, the name UNC isn’t as highly regarded as say Yale or Hopkins (in the field it is on par or stronger), but I feel that this is the only thing that may be holding me back, and it doesn’t seem to be a very good reason.

That sounds awesome! I’m jealous, I’d kill to get an MPH at UNC. It’s an amazing institution, especially if you’re interested in public health. Plus it’s gorgeous. But either way, you’ll do wonderfully. <3
